Cambridge English

Cambridge English exams are recognised around the world by universities, employers and national education authorities. Prepare for them with an IH London Cambridge Preparation course. IH provides participants with Cambridge English Exam preparation courses for the B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE) and C2 Proficiency (CPE) exams.

The Cambridge Exam preparation courses focus on exam techniques and strategies. Courses are designed around your needs and requirements.

This course fully prepares you for the Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) exam. It will help students develop the language skills they need to gain a qualification that demonstrates an advanced level of English. It can be used for university applications in the UK and other English-speaking countries to prove the speaker has a level of English appropriate to higher education or professional contexts.

With careful attention and support from your experienced teacher the student can choose to prioritise the areas he wants to work on from speaking, grammar, listening, vocabulary, writing and reading.

There are three different Cambridge English Exams available:

• Cambridge First Certificate in English (B2 First – FCE)
  English at an upper intermediate level (B2)
• Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (C1 Advanced – CAE)

IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Test System)  is recognised as an entrance requirement by most British, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian universities. Such certificate is also understood by many employers and government immigration agencies as a proof of English skills. These preparation courses are made up of intensive lessons focusing on the academic skills – reading, listening, speaking and writing English. Students will  gain the knowledge and skills they need to achieve the band required at IELTS in our IELTS Preparation 15 course. The Programme prepares for all four parts of the test (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking), giving one practice in all task types.

IELTS Preparation 15 is taught by specialist teachers, many of whom are IELTS examiners, so one will  gain practical tips on how to get the best test score.
