Quando as pessoas pensam em aprender inglês, o que brota em suas mentes é a capacidade de se comunicar. Eles não estão totalmente errados. Afinal, podemos interagir por via oral, através de gestos, olhares etc. Hoje em dia até mesmo o google tradutor fornece a versão consecutiva do que está sendo dito ou escrito. Outro ponto é o expertise para acessar uma grande variedade de variações. Por exemplo: todos sabem perguntar “How are you?” Isso é aprendido nas primeiras lições. Eu sugiro que você não use apenas a variação mostrada, mas algumas outras como “How has life been treating you?”. Isso é ensinado na primeira lição e será muito constante em todas as unidades seguintes. Assim, os estudantes devem internalizar as variações gradualmente e progressivamente, respeitando o mecanismo do cérebro. Sim, a neurociência é importante.

Inglês Para o Alto Desempenho tende a mostrar uma variação lingüística muito densa, não apenas no que diz respeito às funções, mas também ao vocabulário, conectores, conjunções e bases normativas. O último obedece a um processo seqüencial, já que alguns deles se tornam pré-requisitos para os outros. Por outro lado, podemos inserir funções usando o PRESENT PERFECT na primeira aula, independentemente do fato do mesmo ser estudado apenas no terceiro módulo.

A ideia é capacitar os alunos a usar o padrão linguístico formal. Desde o início, os coachees serão apresentados a alguns aspectos comunicativos que a maioria das escolas ou professores só o farão em níveis intermediários. Sim, é ousado. Sim, é inovador. Sim, exige trabalho duro. Sim, não é para todos.

You may be wondering what English for High Performance actually is. Thereby, it is all my pleasure to write some lines about the matter, emphasizing that our students have particular profiles. They are usually older than 30 years old. They are accomplished professionals. They yearn to vanquish borders and conquer the world. Most of them crave to attend international programs. 

When people think about learning English, what sprouts in their minds is the ability to communicate. They are not utterly mistaken. After all we may interact orally, through gestures, glances etc. Nowadays even the google translator provides the consecutive version of what is being said or written. Another point is the expertise to access a great range of variations. For example: everyone can ask, “how are you?” It is learnt in the first lessons. I suggest you not only to use the variation shown, but some other like “How has life been treating you?”. This is taught in the first lesson and will be very constant in all coming units. So that, learners are supposed to internalize the variations gradually and progressively, respecting the brain mechanism. Yes, Neuroscience matters.

English For High Performance tends to show a very dense linguistics variation, not only as far as functions are concerned, but also vocabulary, connectors, conjunctions and normative basis.
